If you have ever been to my home, you may have noticed that high up on the wall above an architectural plant shelf, is the word JOY in large 2 foot letters. I placed this there to help remind me to express joy in our home. If I look, I see these letters each time I walk out of the bedroom.
Lately, I haven't been expressing much joy so I've been seeking the Lord in prayer and His word for guidance. This morning He led me to this verse:
He maketh the barren woman to keep house,
and to be a joyful mother of children.
Praise ye the LORD.
Psalm 113:9
At first I was confused. How can a barren woman become a joyful mother of children? A barren woman is unable to give birth. So as a mother who did birth three children, how does this verse apply to me Lord? I asked and waited for an answer.
